[poem] Lost in the Light

I'm lost in the light
I'm lusting the void
People around me
Are nothing, but noise

I am surrounded
There's nowhere to go
The lack of the bright
Is where I feel home

It all feels so empty
It all feels so cold
I welcome the envy
I welcome the Old

Smoke elevates
From the flickering heat
Killing the soul
And poisoning me

"Just one more!"
A sickening cry
Refuses to answer
Refuses to try

There's nought, but a thud
I can see the soul
Flee from the corpse
Escape to reborn

The cycle continues
No end in sight
Over and over
Live just to die
